In March of 1982, a group of twelve very enthusiastic and caring women got together to
form a woman's club in Glendale Heights.
They elected temporary officers, created by-laws and applied for the Junior Woman's Club
charter from the General Federation of Women's Clubs (the largest organization of
volunteer women in the world.)
The club's first fund-raiser was a garage sale, and the first service project was serving
punch, cake and giving tours at the dedication of the Glenside Public Library.
Twenty years later we returned and performed the same services at the library's
re-dedication.
Today, the Glendale Heights Junior Woman's Club continues to grow and work towards the
goals set forth by these ambitious ladies.
New members are always welcome to join.
